ComputerWorld magazine included Altria Group in its “100 Best Places to Work in Information Technology” list, and ranked it No. 6 nationally for its focus on career development.

DiversityInc ranked Altria Group No. 7 on its list of “Top 10 Companies for African-Americans.”

FORTUNE magazine named Altria Group one of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” in the tobacco category. Among other categories, Altria Group ranked No. 1 in industry and No. 4 overall for people management.

The Urban League of Greater Richmond recognized Altria Group with the Corporate Service Award.

The Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council granted Altria Group its Soaring Eagle Award, after Philip Morris USA received it in 2007 and 2008.

Institutional Investor magazine recognized Altria Group’s investor relations team as one of the best in the country.

BusinessWeek ranked Philip Morris USA No. 32 of 50 in its “Best Places to Launch a Career" ranking.

Ranking is based on three surveys: career services directors at U.S. colleges to learn which employers were tops on their list; employer survey that includes information on hiring, pay, benefits and training programs, which is then compared with others in the same industry; survey of more than 40,000 U.S. undergraduates by Universum Communications, a Philadelphia research company, asking students to identify their five most desirable employers. The employer survey counts for 50% of the final ranking, while the career services and student surveys count for 25% each.

National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) honored PM USA with the Job Choices “Sustained Branding” Award.

The Award is given to employers who consistently demonstrate their commitment to college recruitment though support of NACE and Job Choices publication.

The Metropolitan Business League honored Philip Morris USA with the 2008 “Vision of Excellence” award for inclusion of diverse suppliers during construction of the Center for Research and Technology.

Toastmasters International recognized Philip Morris USA for “Creating Value and Enhancing Employee Engagement.”

BusinessWeek ranked Philip Morris USA among the top 50 in its "Best Intern Program" ranking.
